Jared Tebo teams up with Maxima Fuel

Posted on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 | in News | 1 Comment

Jared Tebo has announced his final sponsor going into the 2011 season, a new company called Maxima Fuel. Here is what he has to say:

“I have just signed a 2 year contract with a brand new fuel company, Maxima Fuels. They are new into the RC fuel business, but not in RC, or the oil business. The new company has amazing contacts with lubricants that are not currently used in RC. I think that this is a great opportunity for me and Maxima. It is very exciting to be a part of this adventure and I will be working very closely with them to make the best fuel we can. With that said I have to give many thanks to Byrons Fuels. They welcomed me in 2009 and have been amazing to me. The people behind the company are great, and they have a great product. I have a great opportunity here and need to take it to try to reach some of my personal goals. They understood and we ended on very good terms. I wish all of Team Byron the best of luck in 2011 and beyond. Now with Maxima….I can not give 100% of the details but I can say that we are going to be giving it all we have to make an amazing product. I would like to thank everyone behind Maxima for giving me this chance. I look forward to this new chapter and new challenge. Thanks and look forward to hearing more about Maxima Fuels.”

Chris Wheeler KBRL Rd4

Posted on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 | in News | 1 Comment

Team Losi’s Chris Wheeler performed well in Round 4 of the KBRL Nitro series, which took place at Scottsdale RC, home to the Cactus Classic, one of his favorite races.  The Cactus Classic is one of the largest electric off road races each year and it always draws a big crowd and is a showcase of talent and exciting racing. This racing event was no different than the Classic, only this time nitro buggys and truggys would be the vehicles to hit the track!

Chris Wheeler and his 8 2.0 buggy would be the team to beat in qualifying as he set the pace in rounds one and two, to take the overall top qualifying spot for the 20 minute main. Fellow Team Losi Driver Billy Fischer challenged Wheeler in the final, taking the lead for about half the race. Chris took back the lead and battled Max Flur, but was able to seal the deal in first, with Flur taking second place. Rounding out the expert buggy Losi podium was TRL’s Casey Peck. Good wins for Team Losi Racing!
