TimeR , Next-Gen Multi User Lap Timing System
I just found a video featuring this timing system and it looks really cool! DirtChamp Design provides the RC car industry with easy to use, state-of-the-art and affordable RC lap timing / RC lap counter products and they’ve come out with a video showing this TimeR™ in action for the first time.
Now, it’s kind of expensive at 349 Euro which translates to around $463 but it is packed with some pretty cool features. This thing has a unique link to your laptop PC that enables you to follow the racing action in real-time! Awesome! And it’s wireless as well which allows for a level of simplicity yet unseen in RC lap counting. This is absolutely perfect for improving your practice sessions, setting up a club race or beating your friends on your parking lot tracks or driveway. And the setup time is less than 10 minutes. Can’t get much better than that.

And there’s a lot more. I don’t think we will be buying this thing any time soon but for those of you who do a lot of timing and racing or hold your own events, it may be worth it.
