Traxxas Short-Course Shootout & Short-Course Showdown!

Hey Guys! I have some exciting news about a couple upcoming events from Traxxas. The first is very exciting for RC Nightmare because it is taking place next weekend May 13-15th in Appleton, WI which is about an hour away from us. It is the Traxxas Short-Course Shootout being hosted by HobbyTown USA at Revelation Raceway.

The classes for the shootout are:

  • Stock Slash (Spec)
  • Slash 4×4 Short Course
  • Stock Short Course
  • Open Mod Short Course
  • Open Mod 4×4 Short Course
  • Open Mod 4×4 1/10 Buggy
  • Open Mod 2WD Buggy
  • Stock Stadium Truck

There are prizes!! A-Main qualifiers in the following classes are entered in a drawing to win the following Traxxas RCs:

  • Stock Slash (Spec) Prize: Slash 4×4 Ultimate
  • Slash 4×4 Short Course Prize: Slayer Pro 4×4
  • Stock Short Course Prize: Slash VXL
  • Open Mod Short Course: 1/16 Slash 4×4
  • Open Mod 4×4 Short Course: 1/16 Slash 4×4

The fees are as follows:

It’s $5.00 for practice on Friday, $20.00 for your first class of racing, and $10.00 for each additional race class. I know it’s late notice but if you live in the area definitely check it out next weekend and sign up if there is still time!

2011 Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour!

This is hosted by Traxxas and Trackside Hobbies and will be taking place at three different tracks. RC Enthusiasts from all skill levels are encouraged to attend and there is a class for everyone from 2WD Slash Spec to 4WD Open Short Course. I mean, this is one of the biggest RC events in the country. It is free for spectators to attend which is pretty cool.

Here are the stops:

  1. Midwest (June 17-19, Trackside Hobbies, Brookfield WI)
  2. West Coast (August 19-21, West Coast RC, La Mirada CA)
  3. South (September 16-18, Mike’s Hobby Shop, Dallas TX)

In support of Slash racers, A-main qualifiers in the Slash Spec class are entered to win a Slash 4X4 Ultimate! And over $300 worth of RC Trucks will be given away to spectators.

Try to get to one of the events if you can and report to us if you do!! Happy Racing :)
