what are you going to call this project?
SC4X
RX8
None of the above
Hey,
I have come up with a great idea.
TO MAKE A STAMPEDE 4X4 TO TRUGGY!
I will buy the truck as a roller on ebay when it is out.
Then, PARTS?
1. RC8T Body Pro-line Bulldog
2. Pro-line revolver truggy tires
3. VTR wheels white
4. Tekin RX8 or SC4X?
5. Pro-line power stroke shocks
6. Pro-line black wing
7.Traxxas revo wing mount
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Well, I think I have created something that people are going to follow and I hope people do this. Just like the backslas was followed by many after the first person to make it. I really hope so.
And thank Jeremy for letting this happen, he is doing a little something for me.![]()

I have seen the slash 4x4 converted to a buggy and heard it does real well against 1/8 buggies, so I would assume that you could make that into a decent truggy but to race either you must add weights to be in the class from what I hear. I would only be worried that the Stampede would be to tall and have to high center of gravity to take real fast corners compared to a classic truggy/buggy. I have read nothing but great reviews for the Tekin RX8 setup it is just to high a price for me since I will most likely not be racing. however if i were sponsored there would be no doubt that I would try to run them over the competition.
online i have seen were people make extended a-arms for the slash 4x4 and i think that would allow it to handle more like a truggy over a monster truck
I would think that since the slash 4x4 made a decent buggy, I think it would be kinda cool to see the slayer pro 4x4 converted into a truggy I think the Revo type shock system would be really smooth for going into and coming out of corners at high speed. I was hoping they were going to come out with a slash pro based on the bigger body and stance of the slayer pro 4x4. but nothing as of yet that I have heard.
I will be gettin custom 3 inch extenders from wheelextensions.com
And it should handle very well in a truggy class it should compete very hard
yeah man! go for it... its an awesome project...
keep us posted
U mean an 1/8 scale truggy from a stampede 4x4? Jang over at ultimaterc.com built a 1/10 scale 4x4 truggy.
I reject your reality, and blow it up with C4.
