is the venom charger a good charger and does it charge 2 batteries at once

Venom Chargers are hit and miss in quality sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you don't. I would get one of the duratrax onyx chargers if you want a good cheap charger.

As for cheap batteries, Turnigys and Zippys are good for the price you pay for them but for a few dollars more you can get a Gens Ace pack from hobbypartz.com that has even more power than many big name packs like max amps (max hype) or venom.

I have the new hobbyking 100c batteries and I am current testing them for a review that I will post on the forum. For a 2S it only costs $30.
