Finally deciding to save for lipo

I am finally deciding to save for lipos. Asked at my LHS and they said $250 for the charger and 2 batteries. That would include the Hitec X4 charger does anyone have any experience with this charger? can it plug into the wall? or does it have to be used with a car battery. im not sure what lipos it includes but they said it would go 50-60 so im guessing 3S but i cant exactly remember what that means could you refresh my memory? any help would be appreaciated(:

you need a power supply ofr the hitech charger..... to much dirtbiking lately? well 3s means theres 3 cells in the lipo so that it has 11.1v. but its a ok charger but 250$s a lot i am sure you could find something cheaper on line... u have my number text me if you have any question because i barley get on here any more

Your hobby shop, like a lot of LHS, are a rip off.

Go to HobbyPartz and get a charger and LiPos.

i really wanna be able to charge 4 at once though but the batteries are $50 each and the charger is $149.99 so i think i will get the charger at my lhs and get batteries online are there any waterproof lipos for under $50 and i would really like to hit 60 mph or would that kill the driveline

If you still want a 4 port charge try the new Hitec X4 AC which includes a power supply for $250 it's a better deal because power supplies run for about $150.

you can get a cheaper charger and a paraboard instead. rcn has a video that describe how to use with great detail. here is the video on the paraboard and how to use it

are you running 2.4 GHZ? you will be AMAZED at home much more stuff you break with lipos im running venom 2s 50c 5000 MH and i break so much on my slash and i have everything RPM lol 3s can be overkill, ment a little more for speed than bashing

yeah you do break a lot of stuff.... what i would recommend doing is getting two of the gens ace chargers. they charge at 10 amps and if your batteries can handle and 10amp charge at 5000mah they would be done in about 30min while typical chargers do things in about 1hr

so is the shop lieing because they say that everyone gets the cheap chargers and end up buying the more expensive one and how would i charge at 10 amps!?!?! theres no way that a wall charger can do that

and no i dont have 2.4 ghz :/
