The battery is not connected to the engines in anyway. The engines have stators (generators) that create electricity when you pull on the pull start rope.Quote:

Kinda sorta! Same thing works in a car, unless you have a diesel where you have no spark plugs only glow plugs. Its kinda like a "wire" that run to the spark plug creating the sparks
