I also picked up some mugen arms from FWM.

They fitted right on without any hassle and although they have a slightly different design they do feel allot more sturdy!

I did have a little clean up whilst I have the thing partially apart. here's a view from above.

Another thing I picked up today was a set of rubber driveshaft boots from FWM for the caster.

Now I have never used driveshaft boots before so I have no idea whether they will stay on or what I have to do but i'm sure someone will correct me if I have made a mistake.

Mugen 5 parts fit 100% on that car. That is a 5 made by a diffrent company with lil changes.

It's great that the parts fit :)

And even greater for me that the initial price tag is a fraction of the mugen, and I can then replace weak points with stronger mugen ones :)

Yes sir, i love muge plastics. Not the strongest compaired to Xray but i still just love the way the mugen cars feel. Real stable.

Should be picking up the new Tekin motor tomorrow, fitting it up, wiring and testing.

I will mention that I went ahead and purchased another full set of VP Pro's tyres that are currently on offer at Apex Models. 10.99 a pair is a bargain!

The rim plastics are very flexible which fits my application, and the tyre treads are awesome! the first set I tried was the Condor XX, and I have yet to try out my new Turbo Trax set.

Are you using the battery tray as the esc mount and just velcro for battery?

Yes mate, I have taken the mounting bracket off from behind the center diff and moved the ESC down low. It just made sense to help with evening the weight out and keeping it down low. It also gets more protection in the battery tray. It is being held down by some industrial tape called "Dual-Lock" it's basically a high quality plastic velcro that snaps into place, and has a sticky back on one side.

As for the battery, I have slotted the battery tray and cut the end off closest to the spur in order for it to fit. And it is being held down by 2 velcro straps :) Nothing more.
