hey man nice buggy and i have a queston. I see that your buggy has the front pivot ball suspension. do you like it and how do you tune it?

Thanks buddy, yeah I much prefer it to C-hub design, I have used both, and used C-hub design for nearly 2 years. It's great but the break point was the c-hubs themselves.

I have yet to break a pivot ball and they are much easier to tune in my experience. They use an allen key (3mm) top and bottom to tune width of car, and camber where as c-hub design is fixed width

oh yeah i see that. and cool. ofna recently released a buggy called the hyperstar e. and its basically a hyper 9e with front pivot ball suspension. i may pick one up.

I think you should, pivot ball would be my first choice.

Yes, weight distribution should be perfect. I have yet to make use of the two trays, i'm waiting on parts. But from everyone I have talked to and online have said it is the most well balanced 1/8 buggy on the market

They have a video on it running indoors here locally, ofna's main distributer is here near me and the hyperstar e looked really stable. Now indoors isnt really seeing what it can do for the size of the indoor tracks here but it should be a nice platform.

Team Orion lipo's arrived today!













I came across these on ebay for £40.00 a pair used which is a great price I think. They are both in almost mint condition with only tiny minor scratches on the top side due to battery strap rub.

They fit very nicely with a snug width fit and about a 5mm gap end to end

I run the orions in my 1/10 2wd, nice lipos but my case started to seperate. CA glue fixed it though. I always seem to have bad luck with lipo cases :/. Also just a heads up amainhobbies sales the protek rc connectors with deans pre soldered for like 7.50 and fit perfect for orion packs and the leads are really long so you can cut and re slder to your wanted length.

Thanks mate, I have got some elecy tape around the seem where the case fits together, hopefuly that will hold! Yeah I won't be needing any connectors for this one! Running them straight into the ESC. i.e negative on ESC goes straight to one battery which will connect the other. All I need is a 2mm bullet connector for the balance port with the balance end and wire all soldered on.

Do you know where I can find one of these?

I think I have the issue solved thanks to Russ at FWM. I am picking up another gear tomorrow which should* fit

Today I got the Diggity Designs Carbon upper decks which I have been expecting. They came from the US within around a week, which isn't too bad.

here they are, all installed:









They look awesome, and the chassis is now much more rigid.

All i'm waiting on now is that crown gear and I should be up and running again.

Will report back tomorrow.

Im digging the red wire, looks real clean.
