haha, awesome, me too! I didn't mean for the red & black colour scheme but even so, it turned out real good! I'm just waiting to get an Elite RC motor mount. When I got a spare few quid ill make an order. I have been told the MBX6 one fits

That's an idea :) I guess all of the balance wires go in together if they use 1 bullet then? I don't really know but they must do right?

Also, trying to find setup sheets for this buggy is an rc nightmare! ;) Do you know of any websites that might have any?

I dont think you can do it as jist one, you need it to connect to negative, positive, and palance port. Also as far as set up sheets im not 100% sure as most team drivers aren't real big. Maybe look at there site and see if they have any set up sheets. For that buggy i would try depending on track about 5/7 for front on diff 7/10 on center and 3/4 on rear. For shocks im not 100% sure because there the older style but i would say 40wt front and 35wt rear or a lil heavier. Then tune camber abiut -2 front and -2.5/3 in rear. This is with the hub in far out hole. Also maybe look up mbx5 set up sheets and just go a lil heavier in oil to make up for weight since its e. The caster is a mbx5 based car.

After cycling near 20 miles to my hobby shop and back, I find out that the gear I just collected was the exact same one as I replaced!! This means I will have to wait a few more days to get a new one which will hopefully be different and therefore fit. How annoying

More bad bad news...

More gears arrived from caster, the same bloody ones, this is really getting frustrating to say the least. I know what part I need, but I can't get it. It's gonna really p*ss me off if I have to buy a whole new diff to compensate for the new style gears.

Any other sugestions? LHS are sending off the gear, and asking to send back one that matched with it. LETS HOPE

They came out alright, as well as they could have done, with a standard 7MP digi cam

Just catching up on this thread and it's quite an education, I had heard of the Casters but had no idea they were Mugen clones. I race a MBX6 ECO and have been looking around for a buggy which my son can drive, without having to shell out for another ECO and the EX1.5 looks like a good option.

I just need to find one for a reasonable price, the RTR version here is only $200 (AUD579 vs AUD799) less than a RTR HPI Vorza Flux, considering the Vorza's great reputation as an RTR the Caster would have to be considerably cheaper to make it worth getting, am I just looking in the wrong place?

Glad you found it useful! I would say it's a great kit for your son, I recommend running it on 4s lipo and get a few spare sets of tyres ;)

Other than that, it's a blast, and with a few upgrades it can be made to perform and last allot longer. (i.e diff cups, CVD's, braces)

I'm a little torn between buying something "cheap" for him which would need some upgrades/replacements or just spending the money up front and getting him an ECO like mine. You seem to have broken a lot of parts on your Castle and even the way I drive (badly) the ECO has not needed a single part replaced and drives great right out of the box. There's also the advantage of being able to share spare parts if needed..
