looking to buy a engine for my mugen mbx5 any suggestions on a .21 engine???
get a sh .21 i hear they are good
Alot of .21 engines are good at great prices. Taiwan makes the best engines for budget. For eaxample the alpha line, argus, go, dynamite euro xpe platinum, and more. Also theres werks racing and so on. All engines i just named can be found for $200 or less.
There are many good engines out there such as OS, Ninja, Dynamite, dAlpha, Noverossi, and many others. But never go for the cheapest cause it usally means they dont last to long.
For 200 i run the argus engines but i have partial sponsor. Idk price but i have 8 gallons on a stock argus with no mods etc. Price these days are trusty! I dont like o.s. now. I found the engine just runs but never has consistant tune.
Look up Werks racing. I drove a buggy once with a Werks B5 and if it didnt sound like a nitro, i wouldve thought it was electric the way it accelerated. Tones of bottom end of the B5 and they have one called the Werks B6 that has amazing top end rpms. The B5 is $200 and the B6 is $210. Also they are known for great runtime and very long life out of the piston and sleeve.
Yes the b5 is like a light switch. Its a power house but there only 3-4 gallon engines. Which isn't bad for price and power.
Guys at my local track have been getting 10+ gallons out of theirs. Even if it is only 3-4 your only paying $200 or less depending on where you are looking. Also you can always get the sleeve re pinched which is what most guys at my local track do.
Yes if its pinched they csn go again reacing 10 gallon mark but some don't like pinch. Im talking bone stock.
The dAlpha plus engines are really good they are $250 they have great speed and last a long time. The pro driver Ryan Lutz uses them in his buggy.
