There is engine seal. Greese doesnt dry and seal greese will stay soft. But yes you can seal and engine to avoid air leaks.
I know how to rebuild my nitro engine but there is one question I have, when resembling the engine could I put multipurpose grease on the seals to make the seals better. I'm unsure if that could be bad for the engine????
