No way hosea. You void the warranty with a 4s lipo so traxxas will not replace it you mess it up. You would have to pay the $130 if you use 4s instead of $60 if your esc goes bad.

if you want to use 4-5S lipo, get a castle ESC, they work good with the velinoen 3500 motor.

Noooo! Don't do that! The velenion vxl 3M speed control can but not the velenion 3s. To can only handle a battery ranging in voltage from 7.2v-12v.
