Mamba Monster 2200kv vs Mamba Monster Max 2650kv

What's the difference between these Castle Creation combos? I've heard the Max or Pro is for small 1/10 cars. Am I right?

i started with a MMM 2200 in my slash 4wd then found that the esc was best on 4s so i sold the esc and got a MMP which runs much better on 2s and that combo is great for my slash. also the MMP has the ability to run sensored motors. but i would have liked to have the 2650 motor, a little more speed.

The 2200 has a little more torque but at the amount the systems produce, unless you have something like a Losi lst, its hardly noticable. The 2650kv is faster but the motor isnt equiped to run on anything higher than 4s lipo. the 2650 can run on 6s for short ammounts of time like for speed runs but i wouldnt recommend it. The 2650kv is best for racing while the 2200kv is better for bashing since you can push more power through it.

If the Mamba Monster can make a 14 pound truck do 70+mph, that's all you need. Anymore it's too hard to control. If the 2650kv motor is heavier, why wouldn't you want the 2200kv over it? They seem about even to me.

You have it backwards. The 2650 is bigger than the 2200kv and runs cooler temps. The 2200kv can handle more power and it's smaller.
