My friend lost his Traxxas 2.4Ghz remote to his Slash about 2 weeks ago. He remembered putting everything up last time he drove and when we went to go bash again, it was gone. He thinks his nephew may have broke something and threw it away or hid it. We searched everywhere but nothing. Ok, would he have to buy the whole thing (Remote and the reciever)? Or would the reciever detect another remote and automatically work?
He wants to sell it and get a 4X4 Stampede.
you only need a new remote. and then you would bind it to the receiver.

yeah all you have to do is buy a new remote and bind it to the receiver thats in the truck now... the radio is about 50$ or he could buy the Fly sky fsgtb3 which is a X1000 better radio

Alright I'll tell him. He's pretty mad about it cause he doesn't even want the slash. LOL
Just have him get the Flysky like dizzy said cause the traxxas remote is 50 dollars.
Or if he buys me the Flysky setup and sends it to me, ill send him a traxxas remote. My reciever shorted out.
In case your still unsure, they are positively right. You just need the remote, and the flyskyremote and receiver are only $35 with free shipping from hobbypartz.com . My buddy has one and loves it.
The Flysky is a great radio, GT 2 or GT 3b., I have both...and both work great.
He just doesn't want to buy another radio since he's going to sell it. But I told him he's going to have to or the money on it is going down.
