    Mamba Max Pro fan

    Hello, I have a Mamba Max Pro and I run it with the cm36 4600kv 4.5t motor, on 2 cell Li-Po my fan on the Mamba broke is it neccasary that i replace it? is it really needed for this setup?
    Factory Team B44, Mamba Max Pro, 4600kV Neu-Motor, Spektrum dx3e, Savox digital servo, Reedy Li-Po 60c saddle pack .

    Factory Team SC10, Spectrum digital servo, Leopard speed control and 17.5 motor, Venom Li-Po 20c 3800mah, Associated 27mhz radio.

    Do a few runs without the fan then check the temps. If its over 160 then i would say you need the fan.

    If you replace the fan you won't have to worry about it over heating.

    A Castle product specialist just told me it would be fine with no fan, the only reason they did the fan is because its a selling point to lots of people. It really isn't necessary.

    I figured. I read somewhere that, while they don't recommend it, Castle stated the the mamba max pro and mamba monster are able to withstand operating temps of near 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Ive goten mine up to 190 a few times and never had any problems.
