REALLY mad at castle right now... my mamba monster esc fried while running mainly onroad, and never even really reached full throttle for more than 3 seconds, no hard crashes, nothing. nothing ran hot, battery, motor, esc, and all of a sudden, the buggy stoped and smoked. GRRR it was just the esc, everything else looks fine... im really thinking about switching over to tekin..

Have you tried calling castle? They might replace it for you.

Castle and frying have been in the same sentence a LOT lately. I guess that's why people are moving to other brands including HobbyKing.

what esc was it? i heard that the v2 escs had many problems

This wouldn't be the first time I have read someone having issues with the SV2, don't know don't have one but I do have the SV1 that came in the SCT combo, having had any issues with it yet, but was considering buying an SV2 for my crawler .. but now considering ... the new Novak Timbuck2 controller or a Tekin controller ... with all the forums dinging on Castle right now ...So if anyone has tried the new Novak Timbuck2 controller ... let me know what you think .. .

im sticking with the lrp stuff. the quantum brushed esc i have is over ten years old and still running like a champ
