The mind blowing Traxxas XO-1

Since Traxxas put up that big spinning X on there site I was dreading it would be another SC.

Well, it's not

but some seriously super sick radio gear. Tune you're ESC from your controller. But even more, the Bruhless is a 1/8 type a Traxxas and Castle CO-OP.

AND sick aerodynamics.

The ESC is branded Traxxas but they say it's a Mamba Monster *Extreme* UPGRADED Mamba Monster, Castle has nothing on their site about this, maybe a bit of foreshadowing?

and the Motor is a Traxxas "Big Block" motor. Apparently the biggest motor is an RTR ever. Bigger then the standard Mamba Monster?

My favorite parts is no licensed body, no graphics on it. Just a pure look.

Im sure we'll see the radio gear and electronics in future vehicles

It's a huge disappointments. I was hoping for a 1/5th scale Slash.

here are my thoughts. i think it is really really cool. it looks cool, it sounds cool. amazing new radio, with telemetry you can see on you iPhone. its very futuristic. i look forward to seeing that radio system in other models.

out of the box, the car does 50mph...then you dock your iphone, after you've downloaded the Traxxas Link app (which im sure wont be free) and unlock the 100 MPH potential.

At low speeds the car is squirrely. you have to get it up to a decent speed before the aerodynamics really make a difference.

where i live, there might be one or two parking lots smooth enough to use the 50mph speed...there is definitely nowhere i can go (short of the local airport) to use the 100mph speeds.

i won't be buying one, simply because i have no where to use it.

I totally agree, Im just excited about the technologies they used, and super happy that it wasn't a Short Course truck.

RC car action put an artical up "HOw to build a Short Course gear diff" It's the exact same as any RC.

$1100 !! I've never heard of 1/7th scale. This looks pretty cool though.

RC Car Action is a garbage magazine! It's basically one giant ad. All of their reviews and shootouts are ambivalent. They don't have a spine to pick a winner and possibly upset a sponsor.

its ridicules that it only goes 50 unless u have a touch iPhone no prob for me but people that buy this might not have a iPhone and get ridiculously mad at them

I agree. It's stupid. Report should at least be supported! Better yet make a better transmitter.

Out of the box it does 50 unless you at another 3s to it. It comes with 1 3s.
