wood use wood. see my vids and that poopy cardboard ramp
i second the RC ramp idea...very durable, very portable...I've tried the cardboard box idea, but after two or three jumps it tends to come apart at the seams.
I just got two ramps at toys r us they are made for scateboards they hook together side by side and were only $7.50 each. They stack together and have handles I love them.
car hood!!! maybe try that old broke LCD TV the Wii remote went through,, or have ur lil brother that talks to much hold the cardboard and make sure u use the Jato that time, LOL, Where were at we will use n e thing we can find,, and i mean n e thing,!!
how thin can you get away with on the plywood? i'm thinking about using 1/4" ply, as its more flexible. Just not sure if its thick enough to hold up to the abuse i'm going to put it through.
1/4 works great keep it soaked for a day in the yard and it will bend better as of to make sum wut of a 1/4 pipe and youll get launch, just ask my Brushless Mini T on top of my 3rd floor apt that they wont get down for me!
HAHA!
the jump I'm going to make will be 8' wide, 36" tall, with a curved face. An 8x4 sheet of 1/4" Ply will cover it. I need to make the frame somewhat lightweight though, as we will need to move it between races. it will only be on the track for the short course races, and then will need to be moved.
