Rustler question?

Hey guys, I recently cracked the gearbox on my traxxas rustler xl-5 and when I rebuilt it with a new case and started running it, it had a high pitched whine to it and got the battery and motor pretty hot.

there is some kind of resistance some where thats it causing your motor to work harder drawing more power causing the battery to heat up... i would break it back open and check it out with a fine tooth comb. make sure you didnt put to much grease in the tranny case because i know what cause it to be stiffer... you need to have a substantial amount of grease for that to take place.

Did you grease the gears? Also, when the slipper clutch slips it makes a high pitched whining noise.

Yeah, it sounds like it's binding somewhere. I would take it apart and rebuild it.

probably you put to much grease in it or the spur gear is to loose
