Eliminate the " On / Off Switch " ????

Hey guys I was wondering your thoughts on removing the " on / off " switch ?? I red and another forum that guys are removing them by cutting off the switch and soldering the wires together , to eliminate a problem with broken switches ! So what do you think ???

iv herd of guys doing this on scalers and crawlers as a way to further "waterproof" things.
idk, personally id rather have the on/off switch. after 14 years in the hobby iv yet to have one fail on me. on the other hand they are probably more a convenience and/or safety item more than anything.
my opinion, leave it on there until you have problems with it, then cut it off and solder the wires together

3rd that,

only time I've had a little bit of troubles is when I threw some sand paddles on my 18T and went to the beach.... but the on/off switch was the least of my worries with that much sand

I 4th that. But if your switch is bad and you would like another p.m. me and I'll send you one I have one for 1/8-1/10vehicles which are pretty much the same size varies slightly
