yikes, yea likely, but you also need to adjust the gearing..
So I dropped a losi xcelorin brushless system into my 1/18 scale Animus. The xcelorin is for 1/18 scale. The problem I'm having is that with minimum throttle it does nothing but back flips. Could it be the motor is just to much? The motor is a 4500kv. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

I would check the manual and stuff to see how big of a motor you can put in.. Also gearing has a lot to do with it to.
That's part of the problem the animus tr has very little support, no hop up parts and definitely no gearing alternatives. It's likely I've bit off more than I can chew. About the only thing I could do gearing wise is change out the the pinion. Maybe a different sized motor? Not sure what size I should try... Thoughts?
I have the animus sc and I am lookin for a brushless motor. How did u install the motor and ESC? Did u keep the old ERS or did u get rid of it? Would u recommend the system but at a lower kv? How did u set it up?
Put a good ole wheelie bar on it. Thatll stop ya from flippin
