i am new and need help.....please help

i am completely new to r/c and have just bought the hpi mini trophy truck. I have 3300 nimh battery for it. When i run it for 20 -30 mins the battery is hot. is this normal and if it isn't what would be causing it to get so hot?

Thats normal for a nihm pack. The truck is pulling so many amps that it is causing the pack to heat up. If you use a lipo pack it might be a little warm but shouldnt be blazing hot.

100% normal just be certain to let those batts cool before recharging and cool after charging before use
