The kit does come with aluminum caps. A few other upgrades to look at are Titanim Hinge pins, DE racing mud guards and skidplates (both front and rear), and the rear aluminum diff cups. all the rest were mentioned in the first few posts.
Don't really worry about ounce. For steering look at speed times and for throttle look for torques times. Oz is good but you mainly want a fast servo for steering and toque throttle. 400 oz is alot but will work perfectly fine 300 is average and prefered.

Thanks for your input guys! Secondly I have confirmed that the kit DOES NOT come with aluminum chassis braces. And are the DE racing skids and mud flaps really worth it in terms of durability?
