Since you asked
There is a reason I got a Savage.. After all the reading, etc that I did the Savy was the best pick for a basher (for me), I did a lot checking and judging by what I have seen with my limited experience w/ the T-maxx and Revo, I made the correct choice. Not bashing Traxxas in any way as they seem like good kits and it may just be their luck. They just seem to spend more time in my garage than anything. I have only messed w/ 4 of the Traxxas kits, 2 revo's and 2 t-maxx's, one old and one new of each kit. The 3.3 Tmax problem was mainly the EZ starting system, would have ran fine if not for that. The others just wouldn't hold a tune very well but like I said that just could have been their luck.
My first pick would be a Savage BUT Traxxas does make good kits so you can't rule them out either.

ya, i love traxxas, but i have heard savys are better... but is it good for a beginner in nitro?? how hard is it to work on? harder or easier than the e revo?
Most kits are the same as far as working on them, some might have a bit more room to work but they are all pretty much the same. The only difference from the elec. to nitro is no throttle servo, the motor and ESC but they are pretty much the same layout.
The one thing that I did find out 'bout the Tmax is it seems more cramped when compared to the Savage but that could just be the added parts from the EZ starting system. I can't really compare the Revo to the Savy 'cause they really are different kinda kits.

ok... ya if i got a t maxx, id have to get a pull start... my freind had the ez start, it sucked
i have a tmaxx 3.3 and i have the ez start and it works just fine i have never had a problem with the starter??? maby just my luck but i actually took the pull start off and kept the easy start and it still works just finemaby i just got lucky?
full throttle or else it must be brokebut breaking it is just another reason to build it bigger and better than before!
