My second rc truck ever was an exceed and it SUCKED!!! everything bout it sucked!

Is it waterproof because I live in MN and we have late snow and rain

Yeah! Waterproof and sealed electronics! Don't be afraid to get the motor wet, it will be fine! I drive my summit in 3 feet of snow and it works fine and they have same electronics
