Basically a pan car is a direct drive chassis that is meant for on-road racing and the chassis is flat (pan) and now-a-days is mostly carbon fiber. Direct drives do not have a multi gear tranny at all, its just pinion to spur and go. They also just usually have one mono shock in the rear mounted to the T Bar that connects it to the chassis for suspension and for the most part they are driven on a smooth/clean surface because the tires can get clogged and bumps can damage the chassis. The chassis sits very low to the ground.

these things are FASTTTT even though they only race on either 4 nihm cells are 1 lipo cell.

Bolink, Team Associated RC10L , SortFurry Do u remember they used to race them at the eledrome off of interstate 65, by riverside golf course, yea the cars are out dated now and i dont think any one has it in them to use them, u can do nothing with them, but i can say theres allot of resemblence of some of the street cars and some drifters these days

they have a class for these things at my track... and the guys set the up to where they can take hair pin turns at like 20mph with out loosing traction. and i would say they are the hardest car do drive smoothly because there is basically 0 suspension on them. but they are incredibly fast for what they do.

LOL, "Bolink Eliminators" rocked back in the early '90's, also reminds me of when NIHMs were to expensive to buy and NiCaDs ruled :)

how much money you wanna put in it?? they can go to fast to controll, a buddy has one, doesnt race it as it seems almost no one races those on anything but carpet, and he doesnt like carpet.....go figure, but they are very fast, scary to drive if you havent driven one before.
