What about an HPI Cup Racer? It doesn't seem like a hardcore drifter, but it seems versatile.

I love cup racers, one of my favorite RCs, soo sweet for Spec racing, but if you want to fit in with the crowd, it might not work?

They say they are "true 1/10" So, they're a bit smaller then most other touring cars. Really, any 1/10 4wd car will do, with the right tires and a bit of tuning.

+1 on the Sprint 2 or E10 , E10 being a cheaper version of the Sprint 2, both RTR and both come in drift versions

I probably wouldn't touch an e10 as they have a very week drive train. All the people that I know who have started them have sold them off in the first couple of weeks. Sprint or tt01. But this is just my opinion
