Yea on my fist kit I kind of forgot that and rubbed my brand new paint job right off over the wheel wells.
i never thought of doing this.i always figured the bodies are gonna get ruined from crashing. what about spraying truck bed lineron the underside?

you have to paint it the same color as the color under the masking tape first the let it dry then paint it the color you want it so the first coat of paint bleeds through the tape instead of the second coat of paint. believe me because it works with model rockets too!
There is a painters tape made by FROG Tape that works better than any other painters tape I have used. IMO, the best thing to use is Bob Dively Liquid Masking Film, brush it on (3 or 4 coats) then use a knife to cut your design out, light pressure 'cause you just want to cut the masking and not the lexan. Spray then peal as needed.

I heard of bulletproof tape from Parma and I guess it really works as some people say at the tracks :) Look it up on amain.
