first rc body need help!!

ok so i got the body and we picked up an airbrush from a pawn shop not sure if it works yet but it was pretty cheap as far as i could tell... anyways i got spray paint with the body and if i paint the top lime green when i paint the black sides i wont have to cover the lime green right? because its already there

Tape up whatever your not painting the color you start out with. Spray the spots you want that color with about 3-4 coats. ( Spray one light coat, let sit about 5 min or until dry. Then make the color show more and more with each coat until the section your painted is solid) Untape the spots your painting with your second color. Repeat coats with that color. Just spray over your other color because it will not bleed through if you have solid coats on your first color.

Sounds good ill just do it one of these weekends if I can't ride oh and also I saw a paintjob in Rc Driver mag the blobs I really like that but will the blobs get scrathed and not look good cause its goin on my Pede

Like flames but they are rounded like blobs of paint they are sweeeeeeeeet
