Hill Climbers!!!

Have an exceed rc Rally Monster Pro.
Gunna buy slash 4x4 wheels and tires when i get the money.

the rig is brushless, and all steel gears with aluminum driveshaft.

i locked the rear differential so i could make it over things.
when i get the slash wheels and tires, this thing will be amazing.
i love hillclimbs.
any other hillclimb enthusiasts out there??

Hill climb looks cool. Never made an rc to specialize in it though. Looks like you need a lot of power and a good way to get it to the ground

the stock slash 4x4 tires would be horrible for hill climbing. i would recommend getting somthing like the proline trenchers or maybe badlands or depends on what you run on but sand paddles wouldnt be bad either. but the slash 4x4 tires have 0 grip

Definitly not slash 4x4 tires. the proline sand paddles will most likely be best. what you can also do is put proline sand paws on instead of sling shots and use 2.2" wheels. those will get more grip than the slingshot sc tires.

It depends how soft the dirt is to put paddles or not. Is there any way to extend the wheel base? Longer would help.

They look fun and cool to build, I just dont know where I would play with it once done haha

I made a minihill over at my little mini practice track for mx I made it up and over one time with my stock Stampede XL-5 (I know not the best climber) but it was just for fun the other times it took a VERY long tumble because on the left of the hill is a really deep ditchbank at least 30 feet down (it didn't make it into the water maybe about 5 feet from it) it lose traction and just went left LOL. The entry is really rough otherwise I could make it up more because there is a firepit and ruts from riding my dirtbike in mud. I'll try and get a vid next time I go to my track and stuff. It's probably 15-25 feet high. Maybe get a spare set of rims with paddles .
