SC10 4x4???
Ok, so I'm saving for an SC10 4x4 that I plan to get in October or so. I want it to be durable, fast, and terrain capable. Now I know your saying get a Slash 4x4 for this, but I want an SC10. So, what upgrades do I need? What tires (thinking either Trenchers or Calibers)? What electronics (Sidewinder SCT combo for the power, but what servo?).

first i wouldnt use the sidewinder sct in a 4x4 sc truck. it would probably run hot. in my 4x4 sc i run a mamba max pro and a tekin sc4x motor. so if your on a budget get a cheaper servo and spend a lil more on the motor and esc. anyways check out this servo. it has good reviews but ive never tried it. it apparently has 180oz/in at 6v.
you can also spend a little more for this servo. its a little more money and has less torque but it is a reputable brand... if your bashing anything with a decent size lug should be fine. i would pick the proline gladiators in my opinion. but the two tires you listed are perfectly fine.

The sidewinder sct motor, the 3800kv 4 pole motor, works well, its just the esc. Many people will run the motor with the mamba max pro esc and they say it works flawlessly and even has more power than many 550 motors, including the texin sc4x. Also the castle motor fits better than 550 can motors in the sc10 4x4.

Also if your gonna be running on alot of grass or onroad, get the trenchers. Anything else get the gladiators or calibers.

I would say really any esc motor 550 or 540 size would be good on a good priced like savox servo. Also good all terain tires are enduros, and trenchers for sc.

Also look at the new tekin pro 4, look to be pretty powerful.
