Traxxas slash 4x4

On the slash 4x4 would anyone recommend cutting out the front window for more air flow?? I heard you should do this for indoor tracks not sure about out side?!? I have built a track in my back yard with bigger jumps and fast straights. thought I would ask

you dont need to cut the whole windshield out, but like a centameter of the bottom, and stick on a fan or two
