so what do i have to look forward to? I know its slower, but what about motor maintenance? She is 10 and i think this is a good starting vehicle for her.

what lube do you suggest
They keep those in stock at hobby shops, also make sure the transmitter (remote) has fully battery because if it cuts out the vehicle will actually control itself and take off in any direction.Originally Posted by vxlHammbone

ok, i will get some lube as soon as I get the truck, I'm trying to sell my losi desert truck locally on craigslist to help with the purchas price of the rustler. I see the og. rustlers all the time for $60-$100 on craigslist. chris1969; yeh they all come with the am radio, and I use a 2.4 fm now but I have had plenty of the old am traxxas radio's, and have lost control of my rc10gt like that before.
one of my friends bought a 2wd stampede for 10 dollars on craigslist it was brand new with the vxl system and 2.4 ghz radio the guy didn't want it because it brought the guy memory's of his wife lol well good score for my friend LOL sometimes you gotta just love craigslist!

its a great buy. the thing i hate about brushed is the motors will last 4-6 months if taken care of prperly with brushed motor cleaner and bearing oil. they have decent run time in them.
i'll see what my LHS sells and suggests, but thanks for the info about the cleaner and bearing oil
