So my wheel and hex hub both rounded out. I admit that I keep the slipper clutch extra tight cause I like to pull wheelies. I'm just wandering if anyone has come up with ways to avoid this from happening.

Hasn't anyone ever had this happen?
I havent had it happen but traxxas makes aluminum hex hubs that should hold up better.
never had it happen... get 17mm hex adapters if you dont wanna go back to 10th scale tires.. thats what id do :)
aluminum hexes should work
THis hasn't happened to me yet but traxxas does make aluminum hex's but then you run the risk of stripping your hex holes in the tire which is alot worse then rounding out so i would stay with the plastic ones and just change them everyones in a while they are cheaper too
good call savager, my nut on the axel was stripped out and would loosen, letting the hex slip. so I replced the nut and the hex nut and the wheel. and now its perfect.
its happened to me and the way i fixed it was getting aluminum hex hubs from hobbyking.com
they have sets of four for five bucks
really cheap compared to 30
I've done it, it actually "welded" the hex to the wheel lol. I put aluminum hexes on and replace the wheels, haven't done it since. People forget to replace their wheel nuts, after taking the nuts off a few time, the nylon "lock" part wears down. I recommend using thread lock, especially if you're reusing a wheel nut.
