Speaking of waterproof or not, I haven't heard anyone talk about brushless. I recently purchased used E-Revo Brushless and after first run which included wet grass clippings, rinsed it of gently with hose over too much directly on motor/esc, but they most definitely got a drench before air/shake drying in Florida sun.
After hearing Rcnightmare's comments in their E-Revo unboxing video about the motor/esc not being waterproof and actually rather sensitive should I be highly concerned?
FYI: E-Maxx Brushless (3908) is definitely NOT waterproof. The receiver is in a waterproof container, but the motor and esc are not. Castle will not cover them under warranty for water damage.
I have a bandit and i have run it completely submerged in my bathtub over 4 times, and it still is working perfect!
I have fully submerged my mini e revo for 10 minutes and ran it. Works great
