can u use do a test on the stock batteries and see how how they are?

+1 rcman, great idea! YES, run the stock 3000NiMh and see how hot the get!
For example:Run the stock batteries for 5 minutes, then put the rocket packs in. They should get no hotter than the stock batteries in the same 5 minutes. If they do, I would have to say there is a problem with the Rocket Packs. Rcman is dead onto it!!
Follow up, test ran with stock batteries,
they were just as hot as the 5100's
also noticed that the motor was rather hot on the 5100's
which i suppose can expect with more engery being pushed through it ..
so i think a fan and heat sink is in order..
any idea's where to get them from for 775's ??
you can get a heatsink with 2 fans from integy for the motor for $17. I love the integy heatsinks and i have a few, they are tall so lots of cold breeze cools it off and it hugs the motor very well.

And then you can just try and wire the fans to the reciever
