XL-5 vs XL-10

I am thinking about getting back into RC. It's been about 20 years. I saw a used Stampede that is box stock but has a new in the box XL-10 esc. What would be the advantage of replacing the XL-5 with the XL-10? Longer run time, cooler motor, etc. Any help is appreciated.

well first of all, iits waterproof, second of all, its got lipo cut-off so you can run a 2s LiPo and a 2s LiPo only or a NiMh battery. a longer run time you will get from using a 2s LiPo. not really a cooler motor with either esc. I would definatly get it cause its more up-to-date.
