is the center diff half full?

anybody know why the center diff is supposed to filled half way??

I don't know why but I fill it up to the top of the gears. This seems to work and I don't feel a difference in performance.

you 1/2 fill it so it dosent leak as much. and the silicone dif lube sticks to the gears so there is still lube and you dont get as much resistance of the oil. Thus making it a little faster and the motor work less.

but what about front and rear diffs should those be half full as well?

Again for me I fill them up all the way with no leaks and no performance difference.
