i can vouch for the slash as i am 62, a relative newbie, and have had my slash since june of last year and race and bash it. other than getting run over by a grove tractor i have broken nothing. popped a couple of shock caps here and there. i am still racing and bashing my slash and periodically i run the vxl in it. gets my vote bigtime for sure.
slash is awesome. I love mine to death, only way I would get ridof it is if traxxas came out with a new, better version.
I reject your reality, and blow it up with C4.
My Garage:
Losi 8ight 2.0 E
Losi XXX-SCT
Associated B4.1 Worlds edition
I was so tempted to get one... but I wanted to race a stock spec class and do less bashing so i bought associated. The Traxxas is awesome though. So tough
i really want a short course truck, and the Slash fits the bill perfectly since i've already owned 2 Traxxas vehicles and been very, very pleased with both (after i got steel idler gears but that's another story, lol). but, my LHS does have a track so i am very tempted to get an Associated SC10. and i could always put RPM stuff on the SC10 for bashability, so i don't know, what do yall think?
i have 12 rc cars and this is one of mytop favs
2wd or 4wd?
either way they are both good for beginner
actually just about any traxxas product, they are well made and easy to get parts for and have outstanding customer support and service
