awesome hobby shop if i lived closer to lakeland i would go to hobbytown
usa, but i live closer to this i would go to hobbytown usa over selection
ehz doesnt have a lot of parts most of them you have to wait for them to arrive.
Awsome track (They change it about every 2 months) perfect for SC, and the hobby shop is good size but the have more parts than anything!!
EHZ SUCKS
They are the worst hobby shop in central Florida. They lead the way on the demise of the r/c asylum and ruined it for all of central Florida racers. I will never shop there and hope they go out of business.
Was passing thru on Vacation and made a pit stop there. so-so.
The track has been the same for 1.5 years. No selection boxes on shelf are empty. If I have to order it I might has well get from someone who has it and cheaper. As far as help and support. NOT
Do not listen to Asylum, Freddy, and Hugh Jass…. The are D-bags. They are upset that the county closed down there track due to Fire code and zoning violations.
Extreme Hobby Zone is an ok shop. Small local place but they are cool. Racing there is great. Small track but very kid friendly. They keep alot of parts instock for the models sold there. Prices are competitive.
Visit them for yourself and make up your own mind.
I stopped going to this place a few years back. The staff is no help at all……on the verge of being outright rude. Don’t ask a question that requires any thought or requires them to look up any info. The prices there are “list price”. No one in their right mind still pays MSRP, much less list price. You can save at least 20-30% by making the drive to Hobbytown.
The inventory selection is ok… if you can afford it. The only reason the place is still open is because they make plenty off the occasional sucker who pays list price. The other reason is because its the only one around. I think its one of two hobby shops in the county. And with Polk County being the largest county in Florida (land-wise), that’s not a whole lot of choices for us.
I live 5 minutes from EHZ. I live 40 mins from Hobbytown in Lakeland. I choose to either drive the extra distance, or order online. Go see it for yourself. I can’t believe the place is still in business. It will only take you one trip to agree with me. They act like they’re doing us (the customer) a favor, we walk into their store and spending our hard earned money… on their outrageously over-priced crap. That’s called a rip off, not a favor. The place is a joke.
